“ Janileigh is a star in the old fashioned sense of the word. It’s in her blood. No one made her who she is, her soulful melancholy is entirely home grown and her beauty entirely her own. She comes straight from her heart and stole mine as soon as I heard her sing. She evokes Janis Ian sometimes or maybe even Joni Mitchell but she is born of her own inspiration and I cannot wait to see where she takes her vision. ”

I'm excited to announce the first single from my new album is going to be released on October 10th.

The single is called Passing Time. It's an old song, and one I'm very happy to finally be releasing. I spent a day on the Manchester canal filming a video with the brilliant Rich Williams, so you'll get to see that next week too. I uploaded a preview of the song and video to Instagram if you want to have a sneaky peek there.

The second single, 'As a Child', from my upcoming album is now available on all the usual streaming platforms. Here's the video, shot by Rich Williams on a chilly day in Bolton!

I'm so excited to announce that I've been invited to join the brilliant Eric Bibb as support on his ONE MISSISSIPPI UK tour this March. I'll be joined by Lucas Bernard and we'll be travelling across the country, playing at some beautiful venues along the way. Tickets are starting to sell out at various venues, so book soon if you fancy coming along.

My debut album As a Child is set for release on March 11th, which also happens to be the first date of my UK support tour with Eric Bibb.

You can pre-order the Limited Edition vinyl on Bandcamp, as well as CDs.

My next single Nothin' Blues will be released on the 27th of February. It features the award winning Olav Luksengård Mjelva on the hardanger fiddle - a traditional Norwegian folk instrument. Accompanying him is the equally brilliant Ian Burdge on cello. Ian has been a regular player with Max Richter for years as well as playing on countess film scores.
